Taliban Expresses Condolences to Nuristan Flood Victims

DID Press: Taliban authorities have expressed condolences and sympathy to the victims and families affected by the recent devastating floods in Nuristan province, several days after the disaster.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement that the government extends its “deepest condolences and sympathy” to those who lost their lives and those impacted by the floods.

The statement said relevant authorities had been working since the first day of the disaster to rescue affected residents and that efforts to provide further assistance are continuing.

The Taliban also called on Afghan traders, investors, and wealthy citizens to increase their support and provide aid to flood-affected communities in Nuristan.

The floods in Nuristan have caused significant casualties and destruction, with rescue and relief operations continuing in affected areas.
