DID Press: At least 35 people were killed and dozens more injured after two passenger buses collided on a major highway in central Syria, according to local sources.

The crash occurred on the Damascus–Deir ez-Zor highway, where local authorities said the death toll could rise as several of the injured remain in critical condition.
Videos circulating from the scene show extensive damage to both buses and emergency teams conducting rescue and recovery operations.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
