Taliban Signals Support for AI, Emphasizes Digital Government Services

DID Press: Taliban has announced plans to expand the use of artificial intelligence across government services and administrative institutions, saying emerging technologies could improve the efficiency of public services.

Hamdullah Fitrat, a deputy Taliban spokesman, said modern technologies could play an important role in improving the performance of government institutions and strengthening public services.

He said improving telecommunications services, developing digital governance, strengthening information security, using artificial intelligence, and identifying emerging technologies were among the measures that could improve the quality of public services and government performance.

Fitrat also stressed the need for investment in technological infrastructure and the use of modern tools to better respond to citizens’ needs.He said technological development could help government institutions provide faster and more efficient services.
