China, Türkiye Discuss Afghanistan Reconstruction and Regional Stability

DID Press: China’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan Yue Xiaoyong said he held talks with Cihad Erginay on peaceful reconstruction in Afghanistan, regional security and efforts to strengthen stability.

Xiaoyong wrote on X that the meeting was held in Ankara in a constructive atmosphere, with both sides exchanging views on cooperation related to Afghanistan’s reconstruction and the promotion of regional stability.

The discussions come as China and Türkiye have emphasized continued regional cooperation, economic development and support for stability in Afghanistan since the Taliban returned to power in 2021.

Both countries have maintained engagement with Afghanistan through diplomatic and economic channels, while calling for greater regional coordination on security, trade and development issues.
