Mirziyoyev: Historic Opportunity for Development Cooperation Between Afghanistan, Central Asia

DID Press: Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said a “historic opportunity” has emerged to establish a shared development space linking Central Asia, the South Caucasus and Afghanistan.

Speaking at an informal consultative meeting of the leaders of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan in Kyrgyzstan on Friday, Mirziyoyev called for greater regional cooperation and closer ties.

He said current conditions are favorable for building stable relations, strengthening good-neighborly ties and advancing regional integration across the heart of Eurasia.
