DID Press: Israeli media reports say that senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, were unaware for several hours of Donald Trump’s decision to cancel a planned joint strike against Iran and learned about the move through social media platforms.
According to Channel 12 News, Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials initially believed that the announcement of the cancellation was part of a deception strategy aimed at misleading Iran and lowering Tehran’s level of alertness.
However, the report said Washington later confirmed that the planned operation had in fact been canceled, contradicting the initial assumptions among Israeli officials.
The development highlights reported differences in communication and coordination between Washington and Tel Aviv over military decisions related to Iran.
