DID Press: Paris Saint-Germain defeated Aston Villa 2–1 in the European Super Cup final to lift the trophy.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring for PSG in the 20th minute, before Désiré Doué doubled the French side’s lead in the 61st minute. Aston Villa pulled one back through Bryan Mbeumo in the 45th minute, but could not find an equalizer.
The victory continues PSG’s impressive run. The French club had already won the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, French Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
