DID Press: Yemen’s various fronts have witnessed an escalation in missile attacks and ground clashes over the past 24 hours, with several missiles reportedly targeting Saudi coalition-aligned forces in Marib, while operations at the strategic Al-Mokha port have been suspended following recent attacks.
In the most significant military developments over the past 24 hours, positions of forces affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition in northern Marib came under missile attacks by Yemen’s armed forces. According to published reports, three ballistic missiles were fired at the positions, with Yemeni sources reporting that they struck their intended targets. Two additional missiles were also reportedly fired at the area around midday the same day.
In southwestern Yemen, clashes between Ansarullah forces and forces aligned with the Presidential Leadership Council continued along the Al-Barh–Hays front. Reports said Ansarullah targeted positions held by the opposing side in the Al-Barh highlands for the second consecutive night, with the clashes lasting for around five hours.
In Al-Mokha, the port’s director announced that operations had been suspended until further notice. The move followed recent attacks by Ansarullah on the port.
Meanwhile, in Taiz province, the rural areas of Al-Arouq and Al-Aybus in Hayfan district were reportedly subjected to artillery shelling by Saudi-backed forces. No independent details have so far been released regarding possible casualties or the extent of the damage.
In Sanaa, reports also emerged of several explosions, with their source attributed to missile launches.
On the political front, the foreign ministry of the Sanaa-based government condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon and reaffirmed its support for Hezbollah and the Lebanese Islamic resistance.
The developments indicate that while missile pressure has intensified in Marib, ground fighting along the Al-Barh–Hays front and artillery attacks in Taiz have continued, while recent attacks have also brought operations at Al-Mokha port to a halt.
