According to data from the “Muslims in Britain” database, 1,895 mosques have been registered across the UK in 2026.
Of these, 1,754 are in England, 114 in Scotland, 18 in Wales and nine in Northern Ireland.
When prayer rooms, rented halls and other public venues used for congregational prayers are included, the number of places of worship in England exceeds 2,000.
