Russian Investors Visit Afghanistan to Explore Business Opportunities

DID Press: A group of Russian businessmen and investors has traveled to Kabul to explore trade and investment opportunities in Afghanistan, meeting with Sayed Karim Hashemi, head of Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed potential investment opportunities in oil and gas, medical equipment, dried fruits and major economic projects.

Hashemi highlighted Afghanistan’s security situation, economic potential and investment opportunities, stressing the chamber’s support for lawful business activities and its efforts to facilitate investment procedures.

The Russian investors expressed optimism about the current conditions in Afghanistan and said they were interested in exploring opportunities for cooperation and investment across various sectors of the Afghan economy.

The visit comes amid efforts to expand commercial and economic ties between Afghanistan and Russia and attract foreign investment into key sectors of the Afghan economy.
