India’s National Security Adviser Arrives in China for Border Talks
DID Press: Ajit Doval, India’s national security adviser, arrived in Beijing on Monday for talks on the long-running border dispute between India and China.

India’s Foreign Ministry said Doval is scheduled to meet Wang Yi on Tuesday for discussions on the border issue. He is also expected to meet Han Zheng, according to Indian officials.
The two countries have held several rounds of negotiations aimed at easing tensions since a deadly border clash in 2020. China’s Foreign Ministry said the talks would also focus on maintaining peace and stability along the disputed border.
India and China share a roughly 3,500-km-long border and have repeatedly accused each other of attempting to alter the status quo in disputed areas.
The talks come ahead of the BRICS summit, which India hopes Xi Jinping will attend.
