DID Press: Mohammad Marandi, an Iranian international affairs analyst, has provided details of a meeting between Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir, saying Iran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz were discussed.
Marandi said in a post that the meeting focused on Iran’s conditions for reopening the strategic waterway.
According to Marandi, Munir presented Washington’s position on the way forward and, in return, received Tehran’s position and conditions.
Marandi said that implementation of Iran’s conditions by the United States would be the first step toward reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
He also suggested that Munir could convey Iran’s position to U.S. officials after returning to Pakistan.
