DID Press: Indonesia will align its position on the recognition of the Taliban government with that of the international community and decisions made by international institutions, the chargé d’affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Kabul said.

Nanda Avalist, Indonesia’s chargé d’affaires in Kabul, made the remarks in response to a question about the possibility of Indonesia recognizing the Taliban government.

Avalist said Indonesia, as part of the international community and the international system, would coordinate its approach with the broader position of the international community.

At the same time, she emphasized the importance of expanding relations and cooperation between Afghanistan and Indonesia, describing ties between the two countries as having deep historical roots.
