Rockets Strike Taliban Police Headquarters in Badakhshan
DID Press: Several rockets were fired at the Taliban police headquarters in Kohistan Rag district of Afghanistan’s northeastern Badakhshan province, local sources said. The attack was accompanied by a series of explosions, but no casualties have been reported.

Local sources said the rockets were fired at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday toward the Taliban police headquarters in Kohistan Rag district.
According to the sources, several rockets struck the compound, while at least one landed in the district’s commercial area. Gunfire and sporadic clashes were also heard around the headquarters, prompting Taliban forces to go on alert.
The sources said the attack caused no casualties but that the explosions sparked fear and concern among residents for several minutes.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and Taliban officials have not commented on the incident.
The attack comes as Badakhshan has witnessed increased activity by armed opponents of the Taliban and sporadic clashes in parts of the province in recent weeks.
