DID Press: A member of Yemen’s Ansarullah political bureau has warned that continued war and the blockade of Yemen could threaten the security of Saudi Arabia and its economic and oil infrastructure.
Mohammed al-Farah, a member of Ansarullah’s political bureau, said in a post on X that Saudi Arabia would not enjoy security as long as Riyadh continued its intervention in Yemen, attacks against the Yemeni people and the blockade of the country.
He said Saudi Arabia’s security and stability depended on ending the war in Yemen and lifting the blockade completely, warning that otherwise the kingdom’s oil and economic facilities could remain at risk.
Meanwhile, Yemeni military sources told Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper that Sanaa forces had carried out operations from Jizan in southern Saudi Arabia to areas around Yanbu and Riyadh in response to Saudi airstrikes.
According to the sources, Saudi airstrikes targeted public markets and bridges in several Yemeni provinces, causing casualties among civilians.
The statements come as tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Sanaa-based forces have again raised concerns over the security and economic dimensions of the Yemen conflict.
