Taliban Warns Pakistan and Opponents: “Do Not Test Our Patience”

DID Press: Noorullah Noori, the Taliban’s acting minister for Borders, Tribes and Tribal Affairs, warned Pakistan and armed opponents of the Taliban during a meeting with Kuchis from six provinces, urging Islamabad to learn from Afghanistan’s history and saying opponents who enter through war will be defeated.

Referring to recent tensions between the Taliban and Pakistan, Noori said the country’s military and intelligence services should understand Afghanistan from historical, ideological, political and experiential perspectives. Referring to past wars in Afghanistan, he claimed that the Soviet Union and the United States had been defeated in the country and said, “Americans will write in their history that they were defeated in Afghanistan.”

The Taliban official also criticized the National Resistance Front and other armed groups opposed to the Taliban, claiming that these groups had sided with the “occupiers” during the presence of U.S. and NATO forces.

At the same time, he called on opponents to return to Afghanistan and resolve their differences through dialogue. Noori said Afghanistan was the home of all Afghans and that the Taliban was ready for understanding and talks with its opponents, but warned that entering the country through war would be met with a military response from the Taliban.

The remarks come as relations between the Taliban and Pakistan have faced heightened tensions in recent months, marked by increased clashes and mutual accusations over support for armed groups. Reuters has reported a significant deterioration in relations between the two sides, with Pakistan accusing Kabul of harboring militants and the Taliban rejecting the allegations.
