DID Press: U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Republican supporters to “pretend” that his name is on the ballot in the November midterm elections.
Speaking at a rally in Mobile, Alabama, Trump said Republican voter turnout declines when he is not on the ballot and urged supporters to turn out in large numbers.
Trump also reiterated his proposal to give every adult U.S. citizen $5,000 if Republicans retain control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. He has described the payment as a dividend; the proposal would require congressional action.
