Pakistan Claims 15 Militants Killed in Attempted Infiltration from Afghanistan

DID Press: Pakistani security sources say security forces thwarted an attempted infiltration by 15 armed militants from Afghanistan into Pakistan in the Ghulam Khan sector along the two countries’ border, killing all of them.

According to Pakistani media, the group was detected while attempting to cross into Pakistani territory and engaged security forces before advancing farther into Pakistan. All 15 militants were reportedly killed in the ensuing operation.

Pakistani sources claimed that some of those killed were linked to Commander Mazdigri Marwat and the Wazir group. The claims have not been independently verified.

The incident comes amid continued tensions between Islamabad and Kabul over alleged activities by armed groups along the border. Pakistan has repeatedly called on the Taliban authorities to prevent Afghan territory from being used for attacks against Pakistan, while the Taliban government has rejected Islamabad’s broader allegations regarding militant safe havens in Afghanistan.

Security operations and border surveillance in the Ghulam Khan sector are reportedly continuing, with Pakistani forces maintaining heightened alert to prevent further infiltration attempts.
