DID Press: According to the latest figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Education, more than 800 teachers have been killed and another 3,300 injured in Israeli attacks since the war began in October 2023.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education said, ahead of World Teachers’ Day, that more than 800 Palestinian teachers had been killed and more than 3,300 others injured since the start of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
In a statement, the ministry said Palestinian teachers across the occupied territories are now engaged in a “real battle for survival.”
The ministry said the systematic targeting of educational institutions and academic staff is aimed at depriving Palestinian children of their right to education. Despite the attacks, it said, teachers in Gaza continue to stand in defense of education and the pursuit of knowledge.
