Taliban Minister: Pakistan Cannot Tolerate Afghanistan’s Stability and Development
DID Press: Abdul Latif Mansour, the Taliban’s acting minister of rural rehabilitation and development, has reacted to recent Pakistani attacks, saying Afghanistan seeks good and Islamic-principled relations with neighboring countries, but that Islamabad’s attacks indicate Pakistan cannot tolerate Afghanistan’s stability and development.

Speaking in Wakhan district of Badakhshan province, Mansour described the killing of civilians as forbidden under Islam and stressed that Afghanistan does not want conflict with its neighboring countries.
He said the Taliban government, based on Islamic principles, seeks peaceful relations with countries in the region and around the world and will not allow Afghan territory to be used against other countries.
The Taliban minister also said threatening the Taliban government and attempting to portray Afghanistan negatively are not solutions to disputes between Kabul and Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the governor of Badakhshan rejected claims about insecurity in parts of the province, saying security has been established throughout Afghanistan and that no area remains outside the control of the Taliban government.
