Ansarullah Target Riyadh Airport and Aramco in Response to Saudi Attacks

DID Press: Yemen’s Armed Forces (Ansarullah, Houthis) said they had carried out three military operations against targets in Saudi Arabia using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones in response to extensive Saudi air and missile attacks on various parts of Yemen.

In a statement, Yemen’s Armed Forces said Saudi Arabia had carried out 60 air and missile attacks over the past 24 hours against Sanaa and the provinces of Al-Jawf, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada and Marib, resulting in the deaths and injuries of a number of civilians, including women and children. According to the statement, the total number of Saudi air and missile attacks since the beginning of the latest escalation in fighting has reached 1,576.

In response, Yemen’s Armed Forces said that in the first operation, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was targeted with ballistic and cruise missiles and drones. The statement said the attack resulted in direct hits and disrupted the airport’s flight operations. Independent reports also confirmed the claim.

In the second operation, according to Yemen’s Armed Forces, an Aramco refinery in Rabigh was targeted, and a direct hit on the site caused a fire.

In the third operation, Abha Airport, Khamis Mushait military base and Akfa Camp in Asir, as well as targets in Najran and Jizan, were targeted in missile and drone attacks.

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement also warned international airlines using Saudi airspace against continuing their flights, saying it considers the airspace an area of military operations. However, it excluded the airspace over Mecca and Medina from the warning.

Yemen’s Armed Forces stressed that the latest operations were carried out as part of a response to Saudi attacks and said they would remain prepared to confront and respond militarily as long as the aggression against Yemen continues.
