Trump Floats Renaming Atlantic or Pacific Ocean “Trump Ocean”

DID Press: US President Donald Trump has suggested renaming either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean as “Trump Ocean” or “Ocean of the Americas,” extending his push to change the names of major geographical landmarks.

Trump made the remarks during a campaign rally in Clarksville, Tennessee, on October 10. Referring to previous efforts to rename geographical features, he told supporters: “We’ve got the gulf. We’ve got a beautiful lake. We need an ocean.” He then proposed the two possible names, drawing laughter and applause from the audience.

Trump also said he wanted to rename an ocean and a major river before leaving office in 2028. However, he indicated that the Hudson and Mississippi rivers would not be included in his plans. He did not announce a formal proposal to change the name of either ocean.
