Private WhatsApp Messages of Netanyahu’s Aide Leaked Online
DID Press: Private WhatsApp messages attributed to a senior aide to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have been leaked online, according to Israeli media reports.

The leak follows reports of a security vulnerability in an artificial intelligence-powered media-monitoring tool developed by Netanyahu’s aide, Yonatan Urich, using Anthropic’s Claude AI model. The tool was designed to monitor media coverage of Netanyahu and his wife and send summaries to WhatsApp groups. Reports said its publicly exposed code contained sensitive information and technical details that raised security concerns.
The leaked material reportedly includes conversations attributed to Urich and several contacts from political, legal, journalistic and political consulting circles. The identity of the person responsible for publishing the messages remains unclear, and the authenticity of the conversations has not been independently verified. Urich’s legal team has said his WhatsApp account was hacked and alleged that some correspondence was altered before publication.
Separately, images and videos allegedly linked to Israel’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates have also circulated online, according to media reports. The circumstances surrounding their publication remain unclear.
