DID Press: Satellite images circulating online reportedly show damage to the Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) facilities in Jubail Industrial City in eastern Saudi Arabia following an attack attributed to Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, also known as the Houthis.

Reports published on October 16 said ballistic missiles struck the petrochemical complex, with satellite imagery and fire-detection data indicating possible fires at the site. However, the full extent of the damage has not been independently confirmed.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s armed forces, affiliated with Ansarullah, said Saudi fighter jets and missiles had carried out 101 attacks over the preceding 24 hours targeting Sanaa and nine other Yemeni provinces. This figure reflects the group’s own account and has not been independently verified.
The developments come amid escalating military confrontations in the region, with oil facilities, petrochemical plants and other energy infrastructure increasingly exposed to the threat of missile and drone attacks.
