Telegram Shared User Data with US Authorities, Court Records Show
DID Press: Documents from a US court case indicate that Telegram provided US authorities with identifying and technical information about a user, including a phone number, account ID, IP address and connection timestamps.

Pavel Durov, Telegram’s chief executive, previously said the platform had maintained a policy since 2018 allowing it to provide the phone numbers and IP addresses of criminals to relevant authorities.
According to Durov, the latest disclosure does not represent a new change in the company’s policy.
