US Lawmaker Calls for Arrest of Israeli Commander in Hind Rajab Killing Case

DID Press: US Representative Rashida Tlaib has called on the US government to arrest Sean Glass, an Israeli military commander suspected of involvement in the killing of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl, and investigate his role in the incident.

In a social media post on Monday, Tlaib said the United States, as a party to the Genocide Convention and the Geneva Conventions, was obligated to investigate the commander’s alleged involvement in war crimes and acts of genocide.

The Hind Rajab Foundation has also announced that it submitted an emergency request to the US Department of Justice seeking Glass’s arrest. The foundation alleges that he commanded an Israeli military unit involved in the killing of Hind Rajab, members of her family and the paramedics dispatched to rescue them.

Hind Rajab was killed in Gaza on January 29, 2024, in an incident that sparked widespread international outrage. Investigations into the incident have focused on the deaths of the child, her relatives and two paramedics who were sent to rescue them.
