Taliban: 1,119 Afghan Civilians Killed or Wounded in Pakistani Attacks
DID Press: Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has released an updated list of casualties from Pakistani attacks on Afghanistan, stating that 1,119 Afghan civilians have been killed or wounded in such attacks since the beginning of 2022. He said women and children account for a large proportion of the victims.

Speaking to CNN, Balkhi referred to Pakistan’s military strike on the Omid drug rehabilitation centre in Kabul, claiming that hundreds of people were killed in the incident.
He also stressed that Islamabad should stop making what he described as baseless accusations against Afghanistan and instead address its security concerns through responsible engagement with the Pakistani people and genuine diplomacy with Kabul.
The remarks come as relations between Kabul and Islamabad remain at a low point amid ongoing security disputes and mutual accusations.
