UNICEF: Uzbekistan Plays Key Role in Delivering Humanitarian Aid to Afghanistan
DID Press: UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says its centre in Termez, Uzbekistan, plays an important role in delivering and supplying vital humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

In a statement, UNICEF said the centre plays a key role in transporting therapeutic food and essential medicines for children and families, as millions of children in Afghanistan face malnutrition.
According to the statement, 3.7 million children in Afghanistan are expected to suffer from malnutrition this year, highlighting the need for continued humanitarian assistance, particularly in nutrition and child health services.
UNICEF emphasized that the Termez centre helps maintain the flow of critical humanitarian supplies into Afghanistan, ensuring that therapeutic food and essential medicines reach children and families in need.
