UNDP Launches 2nd Phase of Afghanistan Economic Recovery Project in 5 Provinces
DID Press: UN Development Programme (UNDP), with support from the Republic of Korea’s mission, has launched the second phase of the REVIVE II project to strengthen livelihoods, rebuild social infrastructure and support economic recovery in five Afghan provinces.

The project covers Kabul, Paktia, Ghazni, Nangarhar and Kunar. Building on the achievements of its first phase, REVIVE II will focus on creating livelihood opportunities, improving access to essential services and strengthening the economic capacity of local communities.
According to UNDP, Afghanistan saw the return of 4.9 million people between 2023 and 2025, a trend that has increased pressure on the country’s labour market, essential services and infrastructure.
REVIVE II aims to support vulnerable communities and help improve economic and social conditions in the targeted provinces
