More Than 4,000 Flights Cancelled at Riyadh Airport Amid Yemen Attacks

DID Press: Missile and drone attacks by Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement on Saudi Arabia have caused widespread disruption to the country’s air traffic, severely affecting aviation operations in Riyadh, the kingdom’s main air transport hub, according to the international publication The Cradle.

The report states that 86% of flights at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh were cancelled between October 8 and October 25. Flight data indicates that more than 4,000 flights were cancelled during this period.

Efforts by Saudi authorities to partially resume operations at Riyadh airport have reportedly prompted further warnings from Ansar Allah, preventing the restoration of flight operations.

Ansar Allah has declared the airport a military target and warned international airlines against using Saudi Arabian airspace.
