Taliban Reiterate Pledge Not to Allow Attacks from Afghanistan Soil
DID Press: Taliban spokesperson has described recent remarks by the US secretary of state concerning attacks on Pakistan allegedly originating from Afghanistan territory as one-sided, saying Washington’s information was based on reports provided by Pakistan.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban administration, was responding to recent comments by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about Pakistan’s concerns over attacks allegedly launched from Afghanistan.
Mujahid said Rubio’s statements were based on information supplied by Pakistan and did not fully take into account Kabul’s position or the realities on the ground.
Referring to tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Mujahid said Kabul attached importance to mediation efforts aimed at resolving the disputes between the two countries. However, he added that any assessment of the tensions should also take into account what he described as Pakistan’s role in initiating the clashes.
The Taliban spokesperson reiterated that Kabul would not allow any country to use Afghan territory to launch attacks against other countries.
