Taliban Establishes Special Committee to Contain Dengue Fever in Nangarhar
DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health has established a special committee to prevent the spread of dengue fever in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Nangarhar.

Noor Jalal Jalali, the Taliban’s Minister of Public Health, said the committee was established to assess the disease situation, review reported infections, prevent further transmission and strengthen coordination among relevant government departments.
Jalali urged committee members to strengthen disease surveillance and case detection and accelerate practical measures to contain the outbreak.
The committee is also expected to expand public awareness campaigns, in cooperation with relevant departments, focusing on the causes, symptoms and prevention of dengue fever.
