581 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Afghanistan, total 7,653
The Ministry of Public Health announced Tuesday that 581 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Afghanistan, bringing the total to 7,653 so far.
The Ministry of Public Health announced Tuesday that 581 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Afghanistan, bringing the total to 7,653 so far.
According to the Ministry’s statement, 165 new cases were registered in Kabul, Paktia (29), Herat (38), Balkh (55), Nangarhar (134), Badghis (13), Ghazni (21), Takhar (12), Baghlan (5), Laghman (30), Samangan (23), Kanduz and Parwan each (4), Panjshir (9), Paktika (3), Kunar (16), Sar-e Pul (15), Khust (2), Badakhshan, Daikundi and Maidan Wardak each (1) cases were registered.
“In the past 24 hours, 49 COVID-19 patients were recovered in the country which brings the total to 850 people,” the statement said. Adding that “during this time, 5 patients died due to the virus which brings the total casualties to 178 so far”.
