About 60 delegates have reportedly been invited to Doha conference, which is expected to be held on 7 and 8 of July 2019.
Germany and Qatar are going to host an intra-Afghan dialogue next Sunday and Monday in Doha, Qatar.
The conference comes as expectation were in a way that Afghan government representatives will attend the conference, but according to the Taliban, the government will have no role in the meeting.
“The participants of the conference will attend on their own capacity and their numbers reach to 60,” Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen twitted.
Shaheen had earlier said that Taliban group will not negotiate with Kabul as government.
Meanwhile, US special representative on Afghan peace process Zalmay Khalilzad in response to Taliban Monday suicide attack in Kabul said: the photos of innocent Afghan children, scared and hurt, drive home a sense of profound urgency to resolve remaining issues here in Doha. Afghan people deserve an end to the violence.
