DID Press journalist in Mazar-e Sharif says gunfire can be heard from other parts of the city as well.
“Shootings by heavy machine gun are underway in eastern belt of the city,” a resident of Mazar-e Sharif city told DID press agency.
The situation in the city turned violent after Ata M. Noor on Wednesday asked people of the city to stay indoors in an announcement on his Facebook page.
Mr Noor accuses president Ghani of hatching plots against the city, warning that he will prevent political and electoral appointments.
