Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai reacted against Mr Trump’s remarks that said Afghanistan is the “Harvard” of terrorists.
US president Donald Trump has recently said in an interview that Afghanistan is a “lab for terrorists.”
“Afghanistan is the main victim of terrorism. The terrorism that has grown steadily under US fund and Obscure policies. The emergence of Daesh (ISIS) with the widespread US political, military, and intelligence presence in Afghanistan is evident to this point,” said Karzai in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Trump during the interview said that the problem with pulling the 9,000 U.S. troops from Afghanistan is that the country is a “lab for terrorists.”
“I call it the Harvard of terrorists,” Trump said.
Former president, however, added that “the escalation of war and violence in Afghanistan is not a solution to our country’s problem, but stressing on peace and strengthening the peaceful activities as well as making this an Afghan process can end this lengthy war.”
