In the past 24 hours, 468 suspicious coronavirus cases were tested in the laboratories, in which, 48 cases were turned out positive.
According to the Ministry, in the last 24 hours, 57 patients have been recovered in Afghanistan. The total number of recovered patients has reached 27,223.
At the same time, 5 patients died. The total number of deaths has soared to 1,375 so far.
Akmal Samsour, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, meanwhile, told a news conference Sunday that the analysis of the ministry’s figures shows that the percentage of positive coronavirus cases had reached 15 percent and that efforts are being made to reduce it to five percent.
He said that the ministry was concerned about the expansion of the Covid-19 cases on the eve of the Independence Day and Muharram ul-Haram.
The spokesman called on the people to avoid gatherings.
