UN: $539M Needed for Humanitarian Aid in Afghanistan

In its latest report, WFP warned that the hunger crisis in Afghanistan is worsening day by day, with women, children, and returning migrants among the most affected by the deteriorating humanitarian conditions.
According to the agency, nearly 10 million people in Afghanistan are expected to face food shortages during the summer.
The situation has been exacerbated by a sharp decline in international aid and the forced return of Afghanistani migrants from neighboring countries, creating severe challenges for the already fragile humanitarian landscape.
