Kabul Envoy to Ankara: Afghanistan’s Security Should Serve as Foundation for Progress

DID Press: Caretaker government’s acting ambassador to Ankara emphasized at a ceremony commemorating (August 15) that the current security environment in Afghanistan should be used as a basis for progress and reconstruction of the country.

Saniullah Farahmand, described (August 15) a “historic” day for Afghanistan and emphasized the need to exploit the current security situation in the country for development and prosperity.

The ceremony was held in the presence of representatives from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, ambassadors of some countries, diplomats, religious scholars, political figures, and a group of Afghanistan citizens living in Turkey.

In his speech, he said that the security provided in Afghanistan should be used as a basis for progress and reconstruction of the country.

Farahmand also emphasized the role of regional cooperation in strengthening the stability and development of Afghanistan.
