DID Press: On the eve of the anniversary of the passing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), known as the Messenger of Mercy, DID Press carried out an online survey to assess how closely contemporary Muslims adhere and follow his teachings and traditions.
The findings reveal that most respondents believe adherence to the Prophet’s guidance is largely limited to words, with a considerable gap in practice.
According to the poll, only 9% of participants think Muslims seriously and widely follow the Prophet’s way of life in practice. Another 9% say some aspects are observed, but full implementation is far from reality.
In contrast, 55% of respondents said that following the Prophetic path is mostly a matter of slogans and statements rather than practical behavior. Meanwhile, 27% believe Muslims today have largely strayed from the Prophet’s path altogether.
Experts warn that these results highlight a worrying gap between authentic Islamic values and the current reality of Muslim societies, urging a serious return to the Prophet’s teachings and their integration into daily life.
