Security in Afghanistan Has Taken a Positive Path, says Japanese Ambassador

DID Press: Japanese Ambassador to Kabul, in a meeting with the caretaker Minister of the Interior, has assessed the progress made in the areas of security and development in Afghanistan as positive.

Takayoshi Koromaya, the Japanese Ambassador to Kabul, held a farewell meeting with Sirajuddin Haqqani, the caretaker Minister of the Interior, as his term in Afghanistan comes to an end.

The Ambassador described the security improvements and other achievements in Afghanistan as encouraging, expressing hope for a bright future for the people of the country.

He also emphasized Japan’s commitment to continuing its cooperation within the framework of the United Nations in areas such as livelihoods, combating drug trafficking, and the treatment of addiction.

The caretaker Minister of the Interior, in turn, highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two nations, underscoring the importance of constructive engagement between the people of Afghanistan and Japan.
