Poll: Forming Inclusive Government Key to End Afghanistan Isolation

DID Press: “Which measure would have the greatest impact in reducing Taliban caretaker administration’s international isolation?,” asked DID Press in its latest online poll.

The results, gathered from a significant number of participants, are as follows:

Formation of an inclusive government ranked decisively first, securing 73% of the votes. Respondents believe that integrating all groups, ethnic communities, and political factions into the power structure is the most critical step toward achieving international legitimacy and breaking isolation.

Guaranteeing the rights of women and girls received 18% of the votes, placing it second. Many participants stressed that safeguarding women’s rights to education, employment, and social participation remains a key condition for constructive engagement by the global community with the Taliban-led administration.

Improving diplomatic relations with neighboring countries garnered only 9% of the votes. Advocates of this view argue that building stable and constructive ties with neighboring states can serve as a prelude to broader international recognition.

Cutting ties with terrorist groups received 0% support, suggesting either that this measure is not a public priority or that respondents are skeptical about its feasibility under the current administration.

An analysis of the findings indicates that Afghanistan public opinion regards the establishment of an inclusive and participatory political structure as the primary key to ending the Taliban caretaker administration’s global isolation. Other measures, while important, are viewed as secondary. These results send a clear message to the acting authorities: without structural reforms and broader political representation, any expectation of a shift in the international community’s stance will remain highly unlikely.
