Unprecedented Global Outcry Over Killing of Journalists in Gaza
DID Press: In a coordinated and widespread reaction, more than 250 media outlets from 70 countries, along with Reporters Without Borders (RSF), have protested the killing of journalists in the Gaza Strip.

On September 1, participating media outlets blacked out their front pages, symbolizing their condemnation of Israeli military attacks on journalists.
In a statement, RSF emphasized that journalists must never be targeted, stressing that press freedom and the right to access information are universal values that must be upheld.
Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza, hundreds of journalists have been killed, with many others injured or missing—an unprecedented and catastrophic toll, according to press freedom organizations.
The protesting media outlets called for an end to what they described as Israel’s “impunity for crimes against journalists.”
