Two Deadly Attacks in Pakistan Leave Dozens Killed, Injured in Bannu, Quetta

DID Press: Pakistan recently witnessed two deadly security incidents. Five militants affiliated with Tahrik-i-Taliban (TTP) attacked a border forces camp in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The clash lasted over 12 hours, leaving 53 Pakistani soldiers dead and 31 others injured. Among the wounded was a police officer who was airlifted to a hospital. All five attackers were killed by the end of the operation.

At the same time, the provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta, was rocked by a powerful explosion, which security sources suspect may have been a suicide attack. The blast killed at least 14 people and injured 35 others. Further details regarding the nature of the explosion and the identities of the perpetrators have not yet been released.

These two attacks underscore the ongoing scale of insecurity and the persistent threat posed by militant groups in Pakistan.
