Senior Afghanistani Shia Figures Welcome Taliban’s Initiatives to Address Internal Divisions
DID Press: Mohammad Abdul Kabir, Acting Minister for Refugees and Repatriation in Afghanistan’s caretaker government, met with a group of prominent Shia scholars and community leaders to discuss national unity and the reintegration of returnees.

During the meeting, Abdul Kabir emphasized Taliban administration’s commitment to addressing the needs of Afghanistan society, particularly those of returning refugees.
Participants appreciated caretaker government’s recent assistance to repatriated families and victims of the recent earthquake, describing these efforts as a positive step toward building public trust.
Shia scholars and elders also welcomed Taliban’s future plans to resolve ethnic and sectarian differences through inclusive dialogue and social initiatives.
Abdul Kabir praised the cooperation and engagement of Shia religious community, saying the caretaker government aims to strengthen national unity and ensure fair access to public services for all segments of Afghanistan society.
