Iran Delivers 68 Tons of Aid to Afghanistan Quake Victims

DID Press: Iran has delivered a new consignment of humanitarian aid to victims of the recent earthquake in Dara-e Noor district of eastern Nangarhar province, Afghanistan officials confirmed.

The shipment, weighing 68 tons, includes flour, rice, cooking oil, tents, blankets and other essential supplies. The aid was handed over in coordination with local authorities and relief organizations, Iranian officials said.

A ceremony marking the delivery was attended by representatives from Iran and local officials in Nangarhar. Taliban authorities expressed gratitude for the assistance, describing it as a symbol of neighborly goodwill and humanitarian solidarity between the two nations.

The earthquake earlier this week left widespread damage across Nangarhar, killing and injuring thousands and leaving many families in urgent need of shelter and food.
