DID Press: Following Israel’s attack on Hamas officials’ summit in Qatar, Turkish authorities warned their country might be the next target of Israel’s bold regional actions.
Rear Admiral Zeki Akturk, spokesperson for Turkey’s Ministry of Defense, cautioned in Ankara that Israel “may expand its reckless attacks, as it did in Qatar, potentially dragging the entire region, including its own territory, into disaster.”
These concerns arise as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan maintains close ties with Qatari leaders and is scheduled to travel to Doha soon to attend an Arab and Islamic summit.
Turkey, emphasizing the need for regional stability, is striving to prevent escalation and further crisis in the region.
