Pakistan: No Nukes in Saudi Agreement
DID Press: Pakistan has stressed that its new military cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia is purely defensive and contains no provisions related to nuclear weapons.

In an interview with Reuters, Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said the recently signed pact has no connection to Islamabad’s nuclear capabilities.
“We are not seeking confrontation,” Asif said, adding: “But if parties to this agreement face a threat, the provisions will apply.”
The defense minister also noted that the agreement can serve as a model for security cooperation with other Gulf states.
