Taliban Urges Industrial Quality, Trade Balance, Energy Investment
DID Press: Taliban Mines Minister, Hedayatullah Badri, called for greater attention to product quality and a balanced relationship between industry and trade, while pledging government support for businesses. Speaking at a meeting introducing the new board of Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, Badri emphasized that sustainable economic growth requires both high-quality industrial output and coordinated trade practices.

The Taliban government aims to attract domestic and foreign investment, particularly in the energy sector, to drive economic self-sufficiency, he added.
Afghanistan, which has over 318 gigawatts of renewable energy potential from solar, wind, and hydro sources, is pursuing major energy projects worth $10 billion with private companies to generate 10,000 megawatts of electricity.
Badri stressed that the government will facilitate industrialists and traders, addressing challenges and improving conditions to promote long-term economic development.
