Internet Outage in Afghanistan Disrupts Truck Exports via Dogharoon Border
DID Press: Dogharoon border terminal has reported a halt in the movement of commercial trucks toward the Islam Qala customs checkpoint due to an ongoing internet outage in Afghanistan.

According to Pour Abed, the director of the Dogharoon border terminal, truck exports from Iran to Afghanistan have been suspended as a result of connectivity issues on the Afghan side.
The disruption has left over 800 trucks stranded at the border, waiting for clearance to continue their journey.
Pour Abed told reporters that communication with Afghan border officials has been cut off due to the internet shutdown, but efforts are underway to hold cross-border meetings to resolve the issue.
He added that Afghan trucks entering Iran are not affected, and between 600 and 700 trucks continue to pass daily from Dogharoon into Afghanistan.
The communication breakdown and suspension of truck traffic from Iran to Afghanistan have created significant challenges for traders and drivers, especially at a time when cross-border trade remains vital for both countries.
Iranian authorities are working to restore coordination and facilitate the movement of commercial vehicles as soon as possible.
